According to Sky Germany, Borussia Mönchengladbach are close to signing Slavia Prague defender Daiki Hashioka.
The clubs are said to have reached full agreement. He is expected to join on an initial one-year loan, with an option to buy understood to be included, and a medical is scheduled for Thursday.
The option fee is put at €1-2 million, the report added.
Hashioka, 27, has 12 caps for Japan and is likely to slot in at right-back to cover Yukhym Konoplya.
Konoplya, who joined on a free from Shakhtar Donetsk in July, sustained a torn medial collateral ligament last week.
He is likely to miss the start of the Bundesliga season against RB Leipzig.
