Sky Germany reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach are interested in Orlando City forward Marco Pasalic.
The German-born winger is being monitored by Gladbach as they find his player profile interesting. The situation could become more serious in the winter when the MLS season ends, and Pasalic could leave the club.
However, other Bundesliga clubs have also shown an interest in the 25-year-old, alongside both Bologna and Feyenoord.
Pasalic only joined Orlando at the beginning of the year from Croatian side Rijeka for €4.8m. The 25-year-old has also spent time in the second and youth teams of Borussia Dortmund, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe.
In Pasalic’s sole season in the US, he has scored 12 and assisted five in 33 games for Orlando. The Florida side are currently eighth in the Eastern Conference and has a wildcard game to make the MLS playoffs on Thursday.
Gladbach are currently dead last in the Bundesliga following a 3-1 loss to Union Berlin at the weekend. With the absence of Tim Kleindienst and Robin Hack very obvious, they need even more depth in attack to give them hope of a turnaround.
