Borussia Mönchengladbach

Gladbach head into matchweek 19 sitting 11th in the Bundesliga table with 20 points, already 13 adrift of the Champions League places.

The Foals were held to a frustrating goalless draw by newly-promoted Hamburg last weekend, having failed to register a single shot on target - marking the seventh match in eight where Eugen Polanski's side have scored one goal or fewer.

After a positive spell following Polanski's hire, Gladbach have dipped, losing three and drawing one of their last five Bundesliga outings, having won five of the prior seven.

Team news

The hosts will be without Kevin Diks due to a head injury, while Robin Hack and Tim Kleindienst remain sidelined.

Predicted lineup - 3-4-2-1: Nicolas - Takai, Sander, Elvedi - Scallu, Reitz, Engelhardt, Netz - Honorat, Neuhaus - Tabakovic

Stuttgart

Stuttgart make the trip to Gladbach knowing that a win would see them remain in the top four. Die Schwaben failed to beat Union Berlin on home soil last time, with the two sides playing out a 1-1 draw.

They would then go on to suffer a 2-0 Europa League defeat at the hands of Roma, thanks to two goals from Niccolo Pisilli.

Though Sebastian Hoeneß's side remain unbeaten in their last five league matches since the heavy defeat to Bayern Munich in December.

VfB are level on points with third-placed Hoffenheim, and a point ahead of RB Leipzig, making this weekend's trip ever so important when it comes to the battle for Champions League football.

Team news

Luca Jaquez and Dan-Axel Zagadou remain out, but are likely to return to the fold in the coming weeks.

Tiago Tomas and Lazar Jovanovic also remain sidelined, having missed all of the action since returning from the winter break.

Angelo Stiller will likely be available after missing out in Rome, alongside Bilal El Khannouss following his return from AFCON.

Predicted lineup - 4-2-3-1: Nübel - Assignon, Jeltsch, Chabot, Mittelstädt - Karazor, Stiller - Leweling, Nartey, Führich - Demirovic
