Botafogo face Coritiba in the Brasileirão on 12 April 2026 at Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro, with mid-table points and Copa Sudamericana positioning on the line.
Botafogo are 10th on 12 points, while Coritiba sit seventh with 15. The last home meeting ended 4-1 to the Glorioso, while the return finished 1-1.
Fogão have beaten RB Bragantino, Mirassol and Vasco da Gama in recent league games, and have taken two home wins from three. Coxa drew with Fluminense and Vasco after winning at Mirassol, and have been stronger away with three victories on the road.
Fogão are without Fernando Marçal, Joaquín Correa, Kaio Fernando Da Silva Pantaleao and Chris Ramos through injury. Coxa also list Keno, Rodrigues and goalkeeper Pedro Morisco as injured.
Glorioso's league matches have brought plenty of goals, with 16 scored and 19 conceded in nine, so the game could open up if they set the tempo. Coxa-Branca's 11 for and 10 against across 10 suggest tighter margins, and the visitors may look to keep things compact and strike when chances come.
A win would take the Glorioso to 15 points and could push them further up the standings. Coxa-Branca would move to 18 with victory and could consolidate their Copa Sudamericana place.
