Boto confident Flamengo can sign Thiago Almada as pursuit continues | OneFootball

Flamengo director of football José Boto addressed the club’s pursuit of Thiago Almada ahead of facing Internacional in the Brasileirão.

"He is a player who interests us and we are working on it. It is not an easy signing for several reasons, but we are working and I am confident that we will manage." He was speaking to Prime Video before kick-off.

"People think it is an easy job. It is easy when we do not do it. Talking is easy, doing is harder."

"In negotiations the aim is to have the best conditions possible, and to have those conditions we often need time and patience. It is obvious the supporters and the coach want the player here, but he will be here when it is possible."

"Everything is sellable, but it depends on the price and on whether we can replace. If it is not possible, we do not sell. We are not going to sell to become weaker. I do not like to comment on negotiations because it usually harms the deal."
