FC Barcelona have been linked with a number of forwards in recent weeks, as the futures of Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres remain uncertain to varying degrees heading into the summer.

Among the players associated with the club in recent days is Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi, with reports in England suggesting that the Catalans are closely monitoring his situation.

The 19-year-old has been one of the revelations of the Premier League this season and has established himself as a key player for Andoni Iraola. Meanwhile, several other top clubs, including Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea, have also been linked with the French forward.

Barcelona have been following Kroupi’s development since 2023, when the striker was still playing in Ligue 1. The Frenchman was already seen as one of the most promising young attacking talents in Europe at the time.

Bournemouth, for their part, only paid around €13 million to sign the youngster, whose value has now risen significantly after his impressive campaign in England. However, it seems like the Premier League side has no intention of entertaining any offers for the striker.

As Mundo Deportivo has reported, Bournemouth executive director Tiago Pinto spoke to 365Scores and made the club’s stance very clear regarding Kroupi’s future:

“Junior Kroupi will not leave Bournemouth. His contract still has more than four years remaining, there is no release clause, and he is not going anywhere.”

Pinto was also asked whether Bournemouth would consider selling the player if official offers arrived from clubs like Barcelona or Liverpool, but the Portuguese executive completely ruled out that possibility as well.

“We will not sell Kroupi even if Barcelona or Liverpool offer €100 million. That is completely out of the question.”

There is no doubt that signing Eli Junior Kroupi would not be easy for FC Barcelona, especially with several Premier League giants also keeping an eye on him. Bournemouth are also in a strong position given the length of the player’s contract and his growing importance under Iraola, but despite that, the Frenchman remains one of the most exciting young names being linked with the Blaugrana ahead of the summer transfer window.
