Bournemouth congratulate Michael B. Jordan after Best Actor Oscar for Sinners

Bournemouth have congratulated minority owner Michael B. Jordan after he won the Best Actor Oscar for Sinners.

The club said in a post on X, sharing a photo of the actor holding his statuette after the 98th Academy Awards overnight from Sunday to Monday, and called it a proud day for the Cherries.

The image may have surprised some, but the American is a minority owner of the Premier League club, who are 10th.

He joined the ownership group in 2022 alongside businessman Nullah Sarker. The majority stake is held by Bill Foler, head of Black Knight Sports & Entertainment.

Jordan’s award recognised his double role, playing twin brothers, in Ryan Coogler’s film Sinners.
