Bournemouth cruise past Lincoln as Christie hits hat-trick | OneFootball

Ryan Christie struck three times as Bournemouth cruised past Lincoln City 4-0 to hand Marco Rose his first competitive victory in charge.

Rose made eight changes from the side that drew with Newcastle, but his reshuffled team quickly took control. Christie opened the scoring after seven minutes, guiding Ben Gannon-Doak’s cross beyond Joe Gauci at the near post.

The Imps briefly threatened when Ryley Towler missed an open goal after Michele Di Gregorio spilled the ball, but the visitors struggled to create much thereafter. Bournemouth went close through Bafode Diakite and James Hill, while Gauci denied Christie before the interval.

Hill later rattled the crossbar before Christie doubled the advantage in the 69th minute, heading David Brooks’ corner home.

The Scotland international completed his hat-trick 19 minutes later with a deflected finish after Lincoln failed to clear.

Rayan added a fourth in stoppage time as Bournemouth comfortably booked their place in the Carabao Cup fourth round.
