Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw at home by a spirited Bournemouth side, extending the Blues’ recent struggles in the Premier League.

The hosts raced into a 2-1 lead through a penalty from Cole Palmer and a superb strike from Enzo Fernandez, only for Bournemouth to fight back and snatch a share of the spoils.

David Brooks gave the visitors an early shock when he found the net from close range following a long throw, before Chelsea quickly turned the game around.

Shortly after, a penalty was awarded after a foul in the box, which Palmer confidently slotted home, and Fernandez’s curling effort put the home side ahead.

However, Bournemouth responded within minutes when Justin Kluivert finished from close range after another clever set-piece, keeping the game level.

In the second-half, Chelsea dominated possession in patches and created several chances, but Robert Sanchez was also kept busy.

Substitutions like Reece James and Pedro Neto injected energy after the break, yet the hosts couldn’t break the deadlock. Bournemouth also had a late chance through Enes Unal, who volleyed just over after a smart cross from Amine Adli.

The draw leaves Chelsea with just one win in seven league matches, while Bournemouth remain winless in ten.
