Bournemouth left-back Adrien Truffert named in Zinédine Zidane’s first extended France squad | OneFootball

AFC Bournemouth’s Adrien Truffert (24) is reported to have received a preliminary call-up to the French national team for Zinédine Zidane’s first squad, according to Téléfoot.

Having arrived in England last summer, the left-back immediately established himself as a key player in the Cherries’ squad, starting every one of the 38 matches in the 2025-26 Premier League season – scoring one goal and providing five assists. The Liège-born player has maintained this form, starting Bournemouth’s first four league matches since the start of the current campaign.

A product of the Stade Rennais FC academy, where he made his professional debut and has made nearly 200 appearances in all competitions (nine goals, 23 assists), Truffert, unlike several of his compatriots who have also been shortlisted, has experienced the thrill of a France cap, having played 25 minutes in a Nations League match against Denmark in September 2022.
