Leeds United head to Bournemouth on Wednesday with two players ruled out and three others doubtful, despite a key return to bolster Daniel Farke’s options.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the fixture was moved to midweek by Leeds’ FA Cup progress. They beat Wolves 3-0 on Saturday to reach 39 points, eight clear of the drop with five games left, before Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
Bournemouth won 2-1 at Newcastle at the weekend and are unbeaten in the league since a 3-2 home defeat to Arsenal in January. Both sides, however, have notable absentees and fitness questions.
Joe Rodon has returned sooner than expected from an ankle issue, featuring late against Wolves with no setback, so he is back in contention. James Justin impressed in that game and, after late cramp, is expected to be fine with no fresh injuries reported.
For Bournemouth, former Leeds midfielder Tyler Adams has regained fitness, playing 45 minutes off the bench in each of the last two matches, and a decision now rests on whether he starts or is held back. Lewis Cook has missed seven games with a hamstring problem, has begun partial training, and could make the bench if ready.
Julio Soler has been out for 12 games with a hamstring issue, is back working with the group, and his involvement remains possible after missing the Newcastle squad. Dan James has resumed training following an adductor problem but needs multiple sessions, so his inclusion on Wednesday would be a surprise.
