Bournemouth and Brighton meet in a south coast clash on Saturday, with both sides entering the match buoyed by significant victories before the international break.
The Cherries secured an impressive away win at Tottenham, while the Seagulls came from behind to stun Manchester City. However, recent history favours the visitors. Brighton have won five of the last six encounters and will be looking for a rare pair of consecutive away wins at the Vitality Stadium, a feat they have not achieved since 1932.
Andoni Iraola has a couple of key absences to contend with. Striker Enes Ünal remains unavailable as he recovers from a knee injury, while defender Adam Smith is also expected to miss out with a hamstring issue.
There is positive news in midfield, however, as Lewis Cook could be in line for a return after working his way back to fitness.
Fabian Hürzeler is still without winger Solly March and defender Adam Webster due to long-term knee injuries.
Midfielder Mats Wieffer has also been dealing with a knee problem, but he could be passed fit to feature in the matchday squad.
After a difficult opening-day loss to Liverpool, Bournemouth have responded superbly. They have since recorded back-to-back league wins against Wolves and Spurs without conceding a single goal.
This defensive turnaround has been remarkable; after facing 19 shots against Liverpool, they have allowed the fewest shots in the league over the last two matchdays. Consequently, the Cherries are now aiming for a third straight Premier League win for the first time since December 2024.
The Seagulls’ season was ignited by their brilliant 2-1 victory over Manchester City, a result that followed a mixed start of one draw and one loss.
That win continued their impressive league form from the second half of last season. In fact, since mid-February, only three clubs have earned more points than Brighton (31). They now travel to the Vitality Stadium seeking their first away win of the new campaign.
Bournemouth predicted XI: Petrovic; Araujo, Diakite, Senesi, Truffert; Adams, Scott; Brooks, Tavernier, Semenyo; Evanilson
Brighton predicted XI: Verbruggen; Veltman, Van Hecke, Dunk, De Cuyper; Baleba, Ayari; Minteh, Rutter, Mitoma; Welbeck
