Edoardo Bove’s health is gradually improving, as confirmed by a statement released by Fiorentina on Monday afternoon, to the point that the midfielder’s focus was on how to watch Roma’s clash against Atalanta from the Careggi University Hospital, where he was taken after his collapse.
Plenty of people visited the player in person on Monday, including the president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) Gabriele Gravina, who admitted he found the 22-year-old in ‘good spirits’ and willing to joke about his passion for Roma.

The Viola player is a renowned Giallorossi die-hard fan, as a local boy who played for their youth academy for many years before making his Serie A debut in their shirt.
“In these moments, football truly shows its essence as a community,” Gravina told reporters at the Careggi Hospital, asquoted by Calciomercato.com.
“Yesterday, the response was quick, and the sensitivity was remarkable.
“We exchanged a few words, I found him in good spirits, and he’s already focused on tonight’s match. He asked me how he could watch Roma play.”
Bove left the Giallorossi last summer, as the club decided to loan him out to Fiorentina after four seasons as a professional at the Stadio Olimpico.
Ironically, the midfielder scored his first Serie A goal with the Viola against Roma, contributing to his side’s 5-1 thrashing of then-Ivan Juric’s outfit.
