Juventus defender Tiago Djalo refused to answer questions on whether he’d join Roma after undergoing medical tests, while Edoardo Bove admits it is ‘disappointing’ to leave the Giallorossi.

Roma are on the verge of signing Alexis Saelemaekers on loan from Milan and Manu Koné from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

However, there were more transfer updates on the Giallorossi front today as Juventus defender Djalo underwent medical tests this morning, while Bove was allowed to join Fiorentina on an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Djalo underwent medical tests in the capital on Friday, but surprisingly, he looked pretty upset upon returning to his hotel and refused to answer reporters’ questions.

“I don’t want to talk now. I’ll do it later on,” Djalo said when asked how becoming a Roma player felt.

Another reporter asked: “Will you sign the contract?” but the Portuguese continued walking towards his room without replying.

It remains to be seen if Roma will eventually complete the transfer from Juventus, considering that another target in defence, Kevin Danso, had failed medical on Thursday.

Italian midfielder Bove also looked pretty disappointed about leaving his childhood club.

“Surely, how it ended was a bit disappointing,” the Italian midfielder told reporters at the Roma Termini train station before travelling to Florence.

“The Roma fans and I deserved a different end. At the same time, I am happy with what will happen, and I am confident about this new adventure. I thank the fans for always showing great affection towards me.”
