West Ham United entertained Bristol City at the London Stadium earlier today as they looked to earn a good result in the FA Cup. The Hammers made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the fourth minute when Jarrod Bowen found the back of the net. David Moyes’ men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Bristol City scored the leveller in the 61st minute via Tommy Conway’s effort. The East London outfit failed to score the winning goal and had to settle for a lackluster 1-1 draw at home.
Let’s take a look at how each West Ham United player performed during the contest against Bristol City.
GK: Lukasz Fabianski – 6.5/10
He made a few important saves at the back but failed to secure a clean sheet today.
RB: Vladimir Coufal – 6.5/10
Coufal didn’t do much wrong inside his half and made two decent chances in the final third.
CB: Kurt Zouma – 7/10
The French talent was a dominant presence on the defensive third of the pitch.
CB: Konstantinos Mavropanos – 7/10
He cleared the danger when he could but had to be substituted in the 38th minute.

LB: Emerson Palmieri – 6.5/10
The Italian did his fair share of defending and had a couple of lively moments in the final third.
CM: Tomas Soucek – 7/10
Soucek caught the eyes at both ends of the field but failed to register a goal.
CM: Edson Alvarez – 6/10
He struggled to get into the flow of the game and was replaced in the 74th minute.
RW: Lucas Paqueta – 7/10
Paqueta secured an assist for setting up Bowen’s goal but had to be replaced soon after.
CAM: James Ward-Prowse – 6.5/10
He made two good chances in the final third but never looked like he would find the back of the net.
LW: Pablo Fornals – 7/10
Fornals made some driving runs with the ball but there was no goal for him.
ST: Jarrod Bowen – 8/10
Bowen caused all sorts of problems for the opposition defenders and managed to score early in the game.
Substitutes:
ST: Divin Mubama – 6/10
He was a threat but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
CB: Angelo Ogbonna – 7/10
Ogbonna made some important clearances inside his half.
RB: Ben Johnson – 6/10
He was solid at the back.
ST: Danny Ings – 6/10
His impact on the game was minimal.
RW: Maxwel Cornet – 6/10
Cornet struggled to influence the game.
