Bradley Barcola could leave PSG at the end of the season

There was significant interest in Bradley Barcola (23) last summer, however, the Frenchman remained at Paris Saint-Germain. Could that change this summer?

Barcola was a key part of PSG’s UEFA Champions League-winning side, even if by the end of the campaign, he was sharing his minutes with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a January arrival. The Georgian’s signing has elicited doubts from the France international, who is hesitant to extend his current deal at the club, which currently runs until 2028.

Last summer, there was reported interest from Bayern Munich and Liverpool, however, Barcola remained at the Parc des Princes. This season, the Olympique Lyonnais academy product has already made 22 appearances, netting five goals, all of which have come in Ligue 1.

He remains a key player, even if his output remains inconsistent, but there are now doubts that his long-term future lies with the reigning European champions. “I think that Barcola will be a real topic next summer, to leave Paris Saint-Germain,” L’Équipe journalist Loic Tanzi revealed on Ici

He hypothesised the arrival of a forward at PSG this month in order to anticipate his future departure. Sky Sports have linked Les Parisiens with a move for RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande (19).
