Brazil fans call for Thiago Silva recall after 2-1 defeat to France

Brazil lost 2-1 to France tonight, and Brazilian fans on social media called for Thiago Silva of FC Porto to be recalled to the national team.

After the match, Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti spoke of possible surprises in his final World Cup list.

He said the next two months of football worldwide would show who could be with Brazil at the tournament, adding there is plenty of competition for places.

Thiago Silva, 41, left the Brazil squad after the quarter-final exit at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar to France, but has said he is available to return, despite not featuring in qualifying.
