Inter Milan wingback Luis Henrique addressed the press after Sunday’s tight 1-0 victory over Serie A strugglers Atalanta.
Speaking to InterTV via FCInterNews, the Brazilian star hailed La Dea’s defensive setup.
With Denzel Dumfries recovering from ankle surgery, Cristian Chivu finds himself strapped for dependable options on the right wing.
Indeed, the Dutchman is likely to stay in the pits until March, leaving Inter short of alternatives on the flank.
Despite shelling out €24 million to sign Luis Henrique in June, the former Marseille star has been far from brilliant in Serie A.
The 24-year-old is having a hard time adapting to the new surroundings.
However, Dumfries’ absence has thrown him a lifeline at San Siro.
Last night, he made his seventh consecutive start in all competitions but failed to live up to expectations.
Therefore, it’s unsurprising that Inter are in the market for a new wingback ahead of the January transfer window.

In addition to showing little attacking ambition, Henrique struggled defensively, particularly once Kamaldeen Sulemana came on.
However, it’s fair to admit that Inter signed the Brazilian for his attacking qualities.
Unfortunately, his offensive impact remains limited, highlighting Inter’s ongoing need for a more reliable option on the wing.
Meanwhile, Henrique hailed Atalanta’s man-marking approach after the game.
“Atalanta is a team that always marks man-to-man, so it’s tough for the wingers,” he claimed. “But we have plenty of quality.
“I’m happy, tired, and smiling.”
The standings? It’s important to be up there.”
Finally, he discussed his increased game time.
“My role? I work hard in all situations; I want to be ready.
“Since the start of the year, I’ve been fitting in well, and I get along with my teammates.”
