Brazil went out of the World Cup in the last 16 to Norway, 2-1 on Sunday, extending a 24-year run without a knockout win over European opposition.

As reported by L'Équipe, the sequence now stands at six straight defeats to European sides in the tournament's knockout rounds. Their last such victory came in 2002, a 2-0 final win against Germany.
