Liverpool boss Arne Slot has refused to be drawn on whether Alexander Isak will make his debut this weekend,
The Dutch tactician was speaking to the press ahead of their Premier League clash with Burnley.
"The Swedish manager deserves a big compliment. If he had played him twice for 90mins he probably would have got injured," Slot said.
"We will treat Alex the same as they did. He missed a proper pre-season, now we have to build him up gradually. We've signed him for 6 years."
"A lot of things happened on the last day," Slot added.
"What pleased me most was us getting the deal for Alex over the line. Good for the club, good for the fans, good for the players, good for me."
Slot also spoke on their proposed move for Marc Guehi on deadline day.
"It would be ridiculous that I would deny we were close to signing him. These things happen in football. We would have liked to have signed him."
Slot finally revealed that Curtis Jones will miss the game through injury.
