Barcelona have officially secured the future of French defender Jules Koundé, who has signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until June 2030.
The 26-year-old, who joined Barça from Sevilla in 2022, has become a vital part of the squad with his versatility, composure, and consistent performances—most notably excelling in the right-back role despite being a natural centre-back.
Koundé’s renewal is seen as a key move by the club’s board as they continue to be shaped under sporting director Deco.
Fans have already taken to social media to celebrate the news, calling Koundé “the best right back” and praising the club’s ambition to retain top talent amid increasing competition from Europe’s elite.
With the new deal in place, Koundé will remain a cornerstone of Barça’s backline as they aim to return to domestic and European dominance in the coming seasons.
