🚨 BREAKING: Celtic appoint Wilfried Nancy as new head coach | OneFootball

Celtic have announced the appointment of Wilfried Nancy as the club's new manager.

Nancy arrives from MLS side Columbus Crew, where he carved out a reputation as one of North America's most forward-thinking coaches, having led the Crew to the 2023 MLS Cup and then guiding them to a record-breaking regular season in 2024 before being named the MLS Coach of the Year.

The Frenchman has signed a two-and-a-half year deal and will begin work on Thursday, December 4.

That allows current interim boss Martin O'Neill will take charge for the final time tonight against Dundee at Celtic Park.

After Brendan Rodgers resigned as Celtic boss in October following a disappointing run that left the club trailing in the Scottish Premiership and struggling on the continent, O’Neill served on an interim basis and performed excellently - winning November's Manager of the Month award.
