Wolverhampton Wanderers are considering a shock re-appointment of Gary O'Neil as they start their search for Vitor Pereira's successor.
That is according to the Athletic's David Ornstein, who states that Rob Edwards and Michael Carrick are two of multiple other options.
O'Neil was sacked less than a year ago after 18 months in charge of Wolves, leading them to a 14th-placed finish in his one full season but leaving his post after gaining just six points from 19 games in his second campaign.
It's been a similar situation at Molineux this season with the club rock bottom of the Premier League with just two points from their opening 10 games, which led to Pereira's dismissal.
The Portuguese manager had signed a new three-year contract 45 days prior to his departure but paid the price for a winless and worrying start.
