Breaking: Liverpool reach verbal agreement with Wirtz

Several sources including Sky Germany and journalist Fabrizio Romano believe Florian Wirtz is edging closer to his Liverpool move.

Liverpool have verbally agreed a deal in principle with Bayer Leverkusen - the package will reach €150million with add-ons included.

The 22-year-old's side already came to an agreed two weeks ago with move to Merseyside now imminent.

Wirtz is now set for medical at the reigning Premier League champions and contract signing will follow suit.

Wirtz, who Leverkusen signed for €200k, made 197 appearances for Die Werkself and scored 57 goals while supplying 65 assists.
