Man United are close to naming Michael Carrick as their new head coach following his interim spell.

According to Sami Mokbel of the BBC, United are concluding negotiations with Carrick and are set to announce the former Middlesbrough coach as the new head coach in the next 48 hours.
The former Red Devils midfielder has impressed since replacing Ruben Amorim in January.
Under Carrick, United have secured a Champions League qualification spot for next season after winning 10 of their last 15 matches.
The 44-year-old is expected to sign an initial two-year contract, with the option of an extra year's extension.
