Swiss striker Breel Embolo is in line to leave Rennes for Major League Soccer side Atlanta United.
Ouest-France reports that the 29-year-old has flown to Atlanta ahead of a transfer worth around €17m, which would rank among the five biggest in MLS history. Atlanta are bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Embolo arrived from Monaco at the end of the 2025 summer window and has spent one season in Brittany, recording eight league goals and three assists.
Recently promoted Ipswich Town had also shown interest, but the Switzerland international has opted for the United States.
Embolo has 92 caps and 26 goals for Switzerland.
