Brendan Rodgers had a busy day yesterday, what with the clubs AGM and his media duties this afternoon. During his media duties he was asked a question that got everyone talking, and that of course was his thoughts on his long term future at the club.
Brendan is still contracted until the summer of 2026, and he reiterated that he intends to see that out.
Brendan said that when his contract comes to an end he will have spent a total of six years in charge of the club over his two spells, which he reckoned is a long time for a Celtic manager, and he hadn’t really thought about his plans for the future.
But he also said some positive things that solidified how content and happy he is at the club at this moment in time. That for me is a sure fire sign that he does intend to stay put if asked, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Brendan signing an extension to his current deal before the season is out.

Although for that to happen the terms would have to be right, and his working conditions ie budgets would have to be agreed to satisfy his demands. Let’s hope that is indeed the case.
Losing Brendan would be a tremendous blow. From Dermot Desmond down everyone at Celtic must know this and they must do everything in their power to make sure that Brendan commits himself to Celtic for the long term.
