FLW's Birmingham City fan pundit has shared their view on whether Brendan Rodgers could succeed Chris Davies
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more…
Chris Davies is facing pressure in his role as Birmingham City boss for the first time since taking charge of the club at the beginning of the 2024/25 season, with a familiar face to him being mentioned as a potential successor at St Andrew's.
It's not been the dream return to the Championship for Birmingham City like they would have hoped.
Led by Chris Davies, the Blues achieved an almighty 111-point season in League One last campaign, beating the EFL record for most points achieved across a league season on their way to the league title.
With the additions of the likes of Phil Neumann and Bright Osayi-Samuel in defence, Tommy Doyle and Kanya Fujimoto in midfield, and Marvin Ducksch, Demarai Gray and Kyogo Furuhashi in attack, fans and pundits alike were tipping Blues for at least a play-off place at the start of the season.
However, after 12 matches, Birmingham sits in 15th place, with four wins, three draws and five defeats so far, and following their 1-0 defeat away to Bristol City last time out, fans are beginning to lose patience with manager Davies.
With Davies' role coming under increased scrutiny, and Brendan Rodgers having just left his role as manager of Celtic, Football League World asked their Birmingham City fan pundit, Jason, whether Blues would go in for Rodgers or look elsewhere, should he be sacked.

Football League World's Birmingham City fan pundit, Jason, has shared his views on whether Blues would look to move for Rodgers following his departure from Celtic, with pressure mounting on Davies in the dugout.
Jason said: "He [Rodgers] is a big name, isn't he? So I think, naturally, if Blues wanted to go to the Premier League, he's managed in the Premier League.
"He will have that pedigree, won't he? And I think naturally he will get linked, but when we were in League One, you had sort of big names that would be going to that division, and then Chris Davies sort of came out of the blue.
"So, I don't know, I don't think they would necessarily go after Brendan Rodgers. I've not really been impressed with him the last few years, to be honest.
"I think that they would pull something smarter out, to be honest, because we're very much data recruitment-led and they've got an idea for the way that they want to football to be played as well.
"I think they'd go elsewhere, to be honest. I don't think Brendan Rodgers would get it. He wouldn't be for me either, to be fair, and I don't think Tom Wagner would go for him either."

There have been no concrete links thus far that have linked Rodgers with the role at St Andrew's, but should the former Swansea City and Liverpool manager take the role from Davies, it would certainly be a controversial one between the pairing.
Davies began his career in professional football with Reading's youth side, which at the time was managed by Rodgers, but was forced to retire early and, as a result, would pursue a career in coaching and management.
Aged 25, in 2010, he joined Swansea whilst Rodgers was in charge in South Wales, and would follow the Northern Irishman to each of Liverpool, Celtic, Leicester City, and Celtic once more.
The pair, therefore, have known each other for over 24 years, and worked in management together for over 15, so it is highly unlikely that Rodgers would replace Davies at Blues, and it is unclear whether the Northern Irishman, who led Leicester to an FA Cup, would consider dropping to the Championship.
At this stage, Davies is still in charge ahead of Birmingham's home tie against Portsmouth on Saturday, where there will be considerable pressure from the fans to obtain all three points and meet expectations.
