Brentford leading race for Genoa’s Morten Frendrup

Serie A side Genoa have seen Morten Frendrup get linked with a host of clubs in the last few months. Brentford are noww leading the race for the midfielder.

Daniele Longo has reported that the Dane is set to leave Genoa in the summer and this will be his last season at the Rossoblu. Interest in him is rising, with Milan a potential candidate.

In the meantime, Brentford have jumped ahead of everyone else. They are in pole position to land him and a move can be executed quickly at the end of the season.

But threat comes from Milan, who have the advantage of the player’s preference. Frendrup would rather join the Rossoneri than Brentford, with Sergio Conceicao’s side now waiting to make a decision about whether to execute a move or not.

Frendrup has impressed for Genoa this season and as compared to the 2023/24 campaign, he has risen in stature.
