Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo (25) has agreed to join Manchester United, according to L’Equipe. The Cameroon international has given his green light to bolster Ruben Amorim’s ranks. Mbeumo joined Brentford FC from Troyes in 2019. He was named among the best Premier League players after an impressive season with Thomas Frank’s Bees. The 25-year-old logged 20 goals and 9 assists this Premier League season.

L’Equipe understands that Manchester United had made signing Mbeumo one of their priorities in the summer transfer market. All signs point to the Red Devils getting their man if they reach an agreement with Brentford over a transfer fee. Several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur or Newcastle United, were reportedly competing to sign Mbeumo. Despite their lack of Champions League football on offer, Manchester United look to won the race to his signing.
