Brentford v West Ham United team news: Dasilva, Henderson, Henry and Janelt injury update | OneFootball

Head coach Keith Andrews has provided an update on four players ahead of Brentford's Premier League game against West Ham United at Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off BST).

Andrews discussed Rico Henry (hamstring), Vitaly Janelt (metatarsal), Jordan Henderson (absent since the international break) and Josh Dasilva, the latter of whom returned to a matchday squad for the first time since January 2024 when the Bees were beaten 2-1 by Manchester United on Monday evening.

"Vitaly and Jordan are pretty close, so we’ll make a decision on that tomorrow, but they’ve made good progress," Andrews revealed. "Rico is not as close.

"Josh had to work really hard to get back to this point, so it was lovely to have him as part of the squad. He wouldn’t be on the bench if I didn’t think he could make an impact of sorts.

"We haven’t really wanted to shout about the progress he's making from the rooftops and add more pressure to his journey back, which has obviously been very, very long.

"We’re very careful around how and when we train him. We still need to look after him really carefully but he’s looking pretty free and has trained really well over the last few weeks."

Fábio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo will miss the rest of the campaign due to ACL injuries.

The west Londoners are winless in the Premier League since a 4-3 victory against Burnley at Turf Moor in late February, having drawn five successive games before the aforementioned loss at Old Trafford.

Asked about his side not making the most of their opportunities to defeat Fulham and get something from the match against Michael Carrick's Red Devils, Andrews added: "The big thing for me is if we’re not creating chances or looking like scoring, that would be more worrying.

"There is comfort in the fact we are, but then you obviously want to take that next step. I’m pretty relaxed that we have attacking players that can be and will be absolutely lethal."

Brentford sit ninth in a congested Premier League table going into the final four games of the campaign, with the first of those fixtures seeing relegation-threatened but in-form West Ham visit TW8.

"They’re in very good form and playing very well," Andrews explained.

"It creates a misleading game, I suppose. At a different stage of the season, there might have been a different kind of feel to the game, but this is a huge game for them.

"The message I’ve given our players is that it’s also a massive game for us. The outside world might see it as a bigger game for West Ham, that’s not the case for us.

"We’re going to fight hard to try and win the game."
