Brentford vs Bournemouth – Predicted lineup and team news

Article image:Brentford vs Bournemouth – Predicted lineup and team news

Brentford host Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon, looking to record back-to-back Premier League wins for only the second time this season.

The Bees are coming off a morale-boosting 2-0 win over Wolves and will be eager to sign off 2025 with another victory in front of their home fans. Historically, this has been a very one-sided fixture. Brentford are unbeaten in their last six league meetings with the Cherries, winning four of those encounters. With the best home form in the bottom half of the table, Keith Andrews’ side will be heavy favourites to take all three points.

Brentford team news

Keith Andrews has confirmed that Reiss Nelson is back in contention after returning to full training this week. However, the winger may have to settle for a place on the bench given the form of Keane Lewis-Potter, who scored both goals in the win over Wolves.

In midfield, the Bees are missing Frank Onyeka to AFCON duty, while Josh Dasilva remains a long-term absentee. This likely sees a trio of Mathias Jensen, Vitaly Janelt, and Yehor Yarmolyuk continue in the engine room. Up front, Igor Thiago is expected to lead the line despite a four-game goal drought. Defensive options are also limited by AFCON, with Dango Ouattara away representing Burkina Faso.
