Brentford host Chelsea at the Gtech Community Stadium on Friday evening in a West London derby, looking to end a run of five home Premier League games without a win against the Blues.

Keith Andrews’s side remain unbeaten in six matches across all competitions this season, though 10 of their last 14 league games have finished level. Brentford enter the derby off a 2-1 EFL Cup win over Reading and can move above Chelsea in the table with victory.

Brentford team news

Nathan Collins (calf), Sepp van den Berg (groin) and Josh Dasilva (thigh) remain unavailable, and Andrews has confirmed Mathias Jensen will also miss out. The head coach said there are “no new injuries to report” beyond that group. Young striker Kaye Furo, who underwent surgery on a metatarsal injury earlier in the week, is said to be “in a good place” as he begins his recovery.

With that group unavailable, Andrews is expected to retain a settled XI built around in-form winger Kevin Schade, who has scored three goals in five appearances this season, and Igor Thiago, who will look to add to his single league goal so far this campaign.
