The Bees opened the game in dominant fashion, the first 20 minutes seeing the ball camped in their attacking end as they owned possession.
Cheatley made sure to help the side see reward for effort inside the opening 10 minutes, the new recruit finishing from close range from a Maddie Phillips’ cross to make it 1-0.
Fellow new recruit Carolin Engelhard almost doubled the lead a minute later, the ball falling to the defender from a corner, but her shot went over the bar.
It wasn’t long before the Bees had another chance on goal, this time Read was able to find the back of the net to make it 2-0. The defender found herself in space in the box and headed the ball home from a Nikki Woods’ corner.
London Seaward’s best chance of the opening 45 minutes came on 18 minutes, however the shot flew over the bar.
Following a dominant opening 20 minutes the Bees continued to maintain control of the game across the next 25 minutes, despite being unable to add a third goal to the scoreboard.
Woods, Cheatley and Logie linked up beautifully in a positive sign of things to come as the break approached, Logie almost through on goal before a London Seaward defender forced her to pass the ball on.
Brentford wasted little time trying to add a third goal early in the second half, substitute Edwards cutting the ball back from the right side to Bolitho, whose shot was blocked by her defender.
The visitors came inches away from finding their opener a minute later, their first shot hitting the bar before their follow up shot was saved by Emily Maving in goal for Brentford to keep the score 2-0.
Edwards was at it again two minutes later, as she beat her opponent down the right side and cut the ball back to Bolitho inside the box who finished from close range.
London Seaward found some reward for effort on 54 minutes, as they found the back of the net from close range. It was met with an immediate response, however, Chloe Webb’s cross finding Logie who finished off the good work to make it 4-1.
Brentford continued to dominate most of the possession and looked threatening, however it was the visitors who scored next, finishing from the spot after Read gave away a penalty.
It was London Seaward who found the back of the net next, an impressive shot from inside the box firing into the back of the net to make it 4-3 in added time.
Edwards was able to find an immediate response for the home side, however, her header from Woods’ corner finding the back of the net to make it 5-3 and sending the Bees into a clash with Leatherhead next weekend in winning form.
