Brest confirm loan signing of Egil Selvik from Watford with obligation to buy | OneFootball

Brest have confirmed the signing of Norway goalkeeper Egil Selvik from Watford. The 29-year-old is their third addition in two days.

The club said in a statement that the Norway international joins on loan with an obligation to buy, for an undisclosed sum. He has eight caps.

Selvik was part of Norway’s squad at the last World Cup as understudy to Orjan Nyland. He featured in the 1-4 defeat to France.

Standing 1.93m, he made 120 appearances for FK Haugesund, then moved to Udinese before joining Watford in January 2025.

He played 57 times for the Hornets, keeping 13 clean sheets. Watford finished 16th in the Championship, 10 points above the relegation places.

At Brest, he is expected to serve as back-up to Grégoire Coudert following the end of Radoslaw Majecki’s loan.
