RC Lens face a congested mid-April, with Toulouse at home on Friday 17 April, a Coupe de France semi-final against the same opponents on Tuesday 21, then Brest away on Friday 24. It amounts to three matches in eight days.

L'Équipe reports that the Ligue de football professionnelle has fixed the matchday 31 trip for Friday rather than the weekend, with the scheduling confirmed on Tuesday morning.

The decision comes amid a tense backdrop. The day before, Lens firmly rejected a postponement of their matchday 29 meeting with PSG, which sits between the capital club’s Champions League quarter-finals against Liverpool. Paris had asked for a delay to avoid playing three matches in six days.

Elsewhere in matchday 31, OM v Nice is set for Sunday at 20:45 on Ligue 1+, and Toulouse v Monaco is on Saturday night. Nice and Strasbourg also play Sunday, with Lorient v Strasbourg at 15:00.

beIN Sports will carry Lyon v Auxerre on Saturday 25 April at 17:00, with Angers v PSG at 19:00 that evening. Rennes v Nantes, Paris FC v Lille and Le Havre v Metz are scheduled for Sunday at 17:15.
