Brest are looking to secure attacking reinforcements before tonight’s end of the summer transfer window. The Bretons have made a Deadline Day enquire to sign Noad Edjouma (20) from Ligue 1 rivals Lille OSC, according to L’Equipe. Brest have parted ways with Osasuna-bound Romain Del Castillo on Tuesday. The attacking midfielder was notably part of Brest’s extraordinary success story under Eric Roy. His contribution was significant in allowing Les Ty-Zéfs to qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history.

The outlet reports that Lille OSC won’t be against allowing their 20-year-old winger to leave on loan, but Les Dogues would prefer to sanction a temporary exit for Edjouma if he can develop and get regular playing time, something that Brest head coach Julien Lachuer would be inclined to do. Edjouma joined Lille from formative club Toulouse FC in a €5m deal six months ago. He never really made his mark with Les Dogues, featuring only five times.
