Brest marked their 0-1 home match against PSG on Sunday night with a moving tribute to Éric Roy, their former head coach, who died on 17 June.
L'Équipe reports that players, staff and spectators observed a period of reflection before the match in Brest.
Roy was 58 and died of pancreatic cancer. Nearly three months on, his loss is still keenly felt in Brest and beyond.
The club chose the visit of the double European champions to stage an emphatic commemoration of their late coach.
Across France, his memory has been celebrated at grounds since the start of the season.
