Brighton breezed past Tromso 4-0 at the Amex, four different scorers sealing Conference League group stage football as Bart Verbruggen enjoyed a quiet night.

According to WeAreBrighton.com, Fabian Hurzeler picked a full strength line up, making two enforced changes from the 4-0 Premier League opener against Aston Villa. Georginio Rutter and Jack Hinshelwood missed through injury, so Charalampos Kostoulas and Matt O’Riley, making his first start for 12 months, came in.

Kostoulas calmed nerves with the opener, Maxim De Cuyper also found the net from the left. Mats Wieffer started and finished the move for the third on the stroke of half time, before Olivier Boscagli applied a clinical finish to make it 4-0.

Verbruggen scarcely needed to make a save and now has three clean sheets in three to start the season. Teenage centre back Luka Vuskovic looked composed and threatened with a first half header that Jakob Haugaard saved.

Boscagli topped the fans’ ratings with 8.63 for another assured display at left back. De Cuyper and Costinha shared 8.25, with Vuskovic on 8.00 and Wieffer recognised at 7.88.

Lewis Dunk and Wieffer were withdrawn at half time with one eye on the weekend, Pascal Struijk debuting and Costinha impressing at right back. O’Riley’s return brought minutes but, with options to come back, his case for more involvement remains uncertain.

The scores were compiled from Brighton fans’ marks out of 10 gathered on social media.
