Rosa Kafaji has joined Brighton on loan for the season
The exciting Rosa Kafaji has secured a move to Brighton, with the Seagulls signing the 22-year-old on loan for the season.
Kafaji spent just one season with Arsenal before moving away for the upcoming season.
Arsenal’s Rosa Kafaji has a bright future ahead of her and a season-long loan to Brighton is only sure to develop the forward’s abilities.
Kafaji featured for the Gunners 19 times last season and she played a key role in the club’s Champions League success.
The 22-year-old joined Arsenal from Hacken at the beginning of last season.
Brighton manager Dario Vidosic was keen on signing the youngster and is excited to work with the ‘versatile’ forward.
“We are excited to welcome Rosa to the squad for the season ahead.”He said. “She’s a versatile attacker who shows plenty of promise in the front line.
“She’s a fantastic addition to the team for our new campaign and we’re excited to see her integrate within our squad and style of play.”
Brighton still have a pre-season fixture against Spanish side Alhama and Kafaji could make her debut then.
The Seagulls kick off their campaign with a home clash against Aston Villa on September 7th.
While the signing of Swedish star Kafaji is a positive for Brighton, it could mean they lose out on another Arsenal starlet.
The Seagulls have been linked with a move for 19-year-old Michelle Agyemang.
Agyemang spent last season on loan on the South Coast before shining for England at Euro 2025 in Switzerland.
The Arsenal star was awarded the Kopa Trophy after her influential role in the Lionesses European Championship.
Kafaji plays a very similar role to Agyemang and with Brighton making a move for the 22-year-old, they could pull out of any Agyemang deal this summer.
The WSL transfer window closes on September 4th, so there is still plenty of time for players to move before the season officially begins.
