According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, Brighton and Hove Albion want to recall Matt O’Riley (25) from his loan at Olympique de Marseille. The Seagulls have already contacted OM regarding the matter and are hoping to terminate the Danish midfielder’s loan spell with the Ligue 1 club.

The 25-year-old midfielder has had the opportunity to reconnect with former head coach Roberto De Zerbi at Les Olympiens. Since arriving at the Stade Vélodrome, the former Celtic midfielder has made 25 appearances across all competitions, scoring 2 goals and registering 6 assists. Despite his positive spell at the Ligue 1 club, it looks like it could be coming to a premature end.

Brighton want O’Riley to play in the second half of the season

Impressed by his form at Marseille, the Premier League want to bring the midfielder back to the Amex. It remains to be seen whether O’Riley is keen on the prospect of ending his spell in France early and returning to his parent club.
