Both sides had chances but neither could make the breakthrough as the game ended in a stalemate.
Possession was shared in the opening stages of the game and neither Chiamaka Nnadozie or Jennifer Falk were severely troubled in their respective goals.
One early chance was produced by the hosts, but Rosa Kafaji’s close-range shot fell straight to Liverpool keeper Falk.
Mia Enderby then came close to finding the afternoon’s opener for the visitors. She capitalised on a defensive mistake, but her shot from outside the box went wide.
In the 40th minute, Ceri Holland took aim at goal, but her left-footed shot was saved by Nnadozie.
Brighton & Hove Albion started the second half stronger and created the first chances through Madison Haley and Marisa Olislagers, but neither player could take advantage.
Liverpool had a good opportunity from a free-kick in the 70th minute, but Beata Olsson’s header went wide of Nnadozie’s goal.
The hosts were then inches away from scoring from a corner. Manuela Vanegas’ close-range header was pushed onto the crossbar by Falk.
Despite both sides’ efforts, the game ended 0-0, meaning that Brighton & Hove Albion end the weekend in ninth place in the Barclays Women’s Super League table, one place above Liverpool.
