Brighton & Hove Albion forward Camacho joins Lazio on loan | OneFootball

Brighton & Hove Albion forward Carla Camacho has joined Italian Serie A Women Athora club SS Lazio 2015 on a season-long loan deal.

The Seagulls announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

The 21-year-old forward joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Spanish Liga F Moeve club Real Madrid last summer. She made 24 appearances for the Sussex club in all competitions last season in which she scored three goals.

Camacho still has plenty of developing to do in the senior game and she will gain further experience with Italian club Lazio this season.

After the player’s loan move was agreed, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Dario Vidošić said “This is an exciting opportunity for Carla to gain regular match minutes in a competitive league this season.

“She’s a talented young player and this loan move will allow her the chance to develop her skills further in a demanding environment.

“We’ll continue to monitor her progress throughout the campaign.”

Camacho made her first appearance for Lazio in a friendly match against Res Roma earlier today. The player netted twice in a 4-4 draw. Camacho came off the bench to enjoy an impressive performance in the second half of the contest.
