WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Seagulls this afternoon.
Vilamala has spent all of her career to date with Barcelona. The player joined the club as a 12-year-old and she has negotiated her way through the Barcelona youth and B teams to the first team squad.
The 22-year-old has made more than 70 appearances for Barcelona at first team level while she has helped the club to win four finetwork Liga F titles, three UEFA Women’s Champions Leagues, three Spanish Cups and two Spanish Super Cups.
On the international stage, Vilamala recently made her senior debut for Spain while she netted her first goal for her country in the same game.
After adding Vilamala to his squad, Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Dario Vidošić said “We’re delighted to welcome Bruna to the club. She will give us an exciting option in attack and is a player of proven experience at the highest level, having played in the Champions League and for one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“Bruna is looking forward to playing in the WSL for the first time in her career and we’re looking forward to working with her.”
Vilamala is Brighton & Hove Albion’s tenth signing of the summer transfer window.
