Brighton are in talks with England youth international Harry Howell over a new long-term contract.

According to NY Times, the 18-year-old right winger’s current deal runs until June 2028, and the offer would keep him at the club to at least 2030.

He became Brighton’s youngest Premier League player in May 2025, aged 17 years and 29 days, coming on late in a 3-2 home win against Liverpool. He signed his first professional contract last summer.

The locally born academy graduate has made seven first-team appearances, including a goal and two assists in the Carabao Cup. He has represented England from Under-16s to Under-19s.

Brighton’s wing options are crowded. They have signed 18-year-old Nigerian right winger Zadok Johanna from Swedish side AIK for £21.5 million.

Nehemiah Oriola has been offered a new deal. The 19-year-old former Manchester United and West Ham United left winger made his first-team debut as a late substitute in a 3-0 home win against Leeds in November.

Yankuba Minteh leads the group. The Gambia international has made 66 Premier League appearances across the past two seasons after a £30 million move from Newcastle United, and is used mainly on the right.
