Leeds would need to pay more than £20m in the summer to sign Facundo Buonanotte permanently, TEAMtalk reports, after taking over Chelsea’s loan of the Brighton midfielder until the end of the season.
The Argentine looked set to join Leeds in the summer, then switched to Chelsea on loan late on. He played 518 minutes across eight games, only one in the Premier League, but recorded a goal and two assists in the domestic cups.
The 21-year-old is now at Elland Road on a straight loan without an option to buy. Leeds would like to make the move permanent if they stay in the Premier League.
Leeds may yet add in attack. Wilfried Gnonto and Jack Harrison have been linked with exits, and while neither has been a regular, departures would thin Daniel Farke’s wide options.
AreaNapoli claims Leeds have identified Noa Lang and made an initial approach. The Netherlands international produced 57 goals and 48 assists in 188 appearances for Club Brugge and PSV between 2020 and 2025.
Lang joined Italian champions Napoli in the summer and has started seven Serie A matches, returning one goal and two assists in 25 outings. Amid reported tensions with Antonio Conte, the report added Napoli are open to a departure, preferring a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy.
