Brighton twice come from behind to draw at West Ham | OneFootball

West Ham were held to a 2-2 draw at the London Stadium as Brighton & Hove Albion twice came from behind, extending the Hammers’ Premier League winless run to eight games.

Brighton also remain without a victory in six matches, though they showed plenty of attacking intent.

Jarrod Bowen opened the scoring in the 10th minute, calmly finishing Lucas Paquetá’s through ball.

The Seagulls responded when Danny Welbeck converted a penalty after Max Kilman fouled Yankuba Minteh, but a second penalty went awry when Welbeck’s Panenka hit the crossbar.

Paquetá then slotted home a late first-half penalty, making history as only the second player in Premier League history to concede and score a penalty in the same first half.

The visitors levelled again early in the second half through Joel Veltman, who bundled in from a corner after Alphonse Areola failed to hold the ball.

Both sides had chances to win it late, but the points were shared, leaving West Ham four points from safety, Brighton stay 14th.
