Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Everton to the American Express Stadium on Saturday afternoon, both sides desperate to reclaim their top-half status in a pivotal mid-table meeting.

The Seagulls enter the weekend in 12th place. They are reeling from a late 2–1 defeat at Fulham last weekend. In contrast, David Moyes has turned Everton into away-day specialists recently. The 10th-placed Toffees have kept five clean sheets in their last six matches on the road. Having won the reverse fixture 2–0, Everton now chase a first league double over Brighton since 1981.

Joel Veltman and Igor Julio are both eligible and pushing for starts. However, Solly March, Adam Webster, and Stefanos Tzimas remain sidelined with knee injuries.

Everton

The Toffees have been hit by a major blow regarding Jack Grealish. The winger may miss the rest of the season due to a stress fracture. Jarrad Branthwaite and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are back but may be eased in gradually.

Form

Brighton

The Seagulls are currently enduring a frustrating run of just one win in their last 10 league games. Their recent results include a 2–1 loss at Fulham and a 1–1 draw with Crystal Palace. They have earned only eight points since early December. Notably, the team has been behind at half-time 12 times this term. Only Burnley and Wolves have earned fewer points in this period.

The visitors arrive on the South Coast following a resilient 1–1 draw against Leeds United. This follows a landmark 1–0 victory over Aston Villa, which snapped their opponent’s 11-match winning streak. Everton have kept five clean sheets in their last six away games. This run includes three consecutive shutouts on the road. Thierno Barry has been essential, scoring in his last two away appearances.
