Brighton welcome Premier League champions Liverpool to the Amex Stadium this evening.
Fabian Hurzeler’s side host the league winners in their final home fixture of the 2024/25 campaign. It’s an important fixture for the Seagulls, who will climb into eighth with a positive result. Eighth could still secure European qualification for next season, dependent on Chelsea’s league finish and success in the Europa Conference League final.
Brentford’s defeat to Fulham at the weekend has put Brighton in pole position for that place. The Seagulls will climb above the Bees with a point tonight.
Liverpool have failed to win in their last two Premier League games. Performances have understandably dipped since a record-equalling 20th top-flight title was confirmed against Spurs last month.
Joao Pedro is available for Brighton with the forward returning from a three-match suspension. The Brazilian is Brighton’s joint-leading scorer in the Premier League this season with 10 goals.
Lewis Dunk and Joel Veltman have also recovered from issues, while Georginio Rutter and ex-Liverpool midfielder James Milner are nearing their returns. Ferdi Kadioglu and Solly March remain sidelined for the Seagulls.
Brighton predicted XI: Verbruggen; Wieffer, Dunk, Van Hecke, Estupinan; Baleba, Ayari; Minteh, Pedro, Mitoma; Welbeck.
Brighton host Liverpool in the Premier League on Monday 19th May 2025. Kick-off at the Amex Stadium is 20:00 BST.
Brighton vs Liverpool will be available to watch on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Go UK and NOW UK.
