The former Robins boss was sacked at Carrow Road on Saturday night
Liam Manning became the Championship's latest managerial casualty on Saturday night as he was relieved of his duties as Norwich City boss following a 2-1 defeat to Leicester City at Carrow Road.
The 40-year-old became the Canaries' third boss in 13 months after his appointment in June, following on from the previously-dismissed Johannes Hoff Thorup, who was initially seen as a long-term replacement for David Wagner after the German guided the East Anglian club into the Championship play-offs in the 2023/24 campaign.
Given his relatively successful and exciting managerial pedigree, many supporters were hoping that Manning would be able to halt the slide which Norwich had been on within the past year or so and return the club to its expected position as play-off contenders, particularly after achieving a first top-six finish in 17 years during his final season in charge of Bristol City last term.
Reality couldn't have transpired any differently for the Norwich-born man, who had been feeling the heat, alongside sporting director, Ben Knapper, for the past month amid a dire run of form which left the Yellows positioned firmly inside the relegation zone, with relegation to League One for the first time since 2010 looking a distinct possibility at this moment in time.
Of course, social media has been full of varying reactions towards Mark Attanasio's latest decision, but there is one Robins supporter, in particular, who is looking like a visionary when reflecting on his prediction when Manning made the switch from the West Country to Norfolk just five months ago.

Indeed, despite being a highly-rated figure throughout a two-and-a-half year period in charge of Bristol City, Manning's switch across the division, just weeks after suffering a record 6-0 aggregate defeat to Sheffield United in the play-off semi-finals, changed how he is perceived by some at Ashton Gate.
The former Robins and now Norwich boss accumulated a 34 percent win ratio throughout his tenure in BS3, and made some, initially, shrewd transfer dealings in the eyes of many, in order to try and emulate his prior success with his latest employers.
At the time when confirmation of Manning's move to Carrow Road was made public, some Bristol City fans predicted the worst possible outcome would unfold for him, albeit some would be done in the heat of the moment or in a rather satirical manner.
However, regardless of whether this prediction was done in either of the aforementioned ways, fate has made it come true, with one Reds supporter claiming that, by November, Manning would be looking for yet another managerial vacancy after being sacked by Norwich.
Indeed, some supporters and the likes of former Norwich striker, Chris Sutton, still believe that Manning isn't the sole reason as to why their club have accumulated just nine points in the first 15 games and are only off the foot of the table due to Sheffield Wednesday being hit with an automatic 12-point deduction after entering administration last month.
However, seeing Leicester come from behind at Carrow Road on Saturday proved to be the final straw, with the Canaries still winless since a 2-0 success at Blackburn Rovers on August 30th, whilst they lost all eight of Manning's encounters at Carrow Road across all competitions.

Unsurprisingly, Norwich are looking to make their latest managerial search rather swift, with local reporter, Rob Butler, stating the club hope to have sourced Manning's successor ahead of their trip to Birmingham City on November 22nd.
The likes of Russell Martin and Will Still have been mentioned, whilst Football League World exclusively revealed on Sunday that the club had made contact with former midfielder, Gary O'Neil, over the possibility of taking the reins, whilst the 42-year-old also remains heavily linked with other Championship vacancies at Middlesbrough and Southampton.
Celtic coach, Mark Fotheringham, has emerged as another candidate to potentially take over, with the Scot also previously featuring for Norwich during his playing days.
